FranchisingWorks is an innovative social enterprise that tackles unemployment by helping create new businesses and jobs through franchising. It provides independent advice and practical support to people interested in exploring franchising as a way into self employment. FranchisingWorks has access to sources of finance to help meet the start-up costs for successful candidates with insufficient financial resources of their own. This includes our own Licence Fund worth approx. 1.5 million.

FranchisingWorks is a ground-breaking programme that brings together groups of people - such as armed forces leavers, new redundancies, job seekers, students and families - with the franchise industry in a way never done before. We provide comprehensive free advice and support to help them to learn about franchising and to guide them through the minefield of researching and taking on a franchise. Our unique Licence Fund helps unemployed people to meet the start-up cost of getting into a franchise business.

Alongside, we give franchisors to match them up with our interested franchisees. To do this, we take franchisors through an approval process demonstrating that they are an established and viable business model. They then have access to our growing number of clients passionate about getting into business.

The programme is currently running in Greater Manchester and has a fund of 1.5 million in our Licence Fund to invest in the Licence Fee element of new franchise businesses.
