Wilkins Chimney Sweep, established 1895 was a small, profitable and successful business. Looking for opportunities to expand, franchising kept being thrown into the mix and in December 2010 the franchise was launched. Louise will share with you the route to market, the things that she learned, her recommendations for a successful launch, the challenges and the joys: and why she thinks it’s a fabulous opportunity for the right businesses.
Louise Harris is the Franchise Director for WILKINS CHIMNEY SWEEP, a franchise launched in December 2010. She has a background in property, training and small business development, and has previously been both a franchisee and the in-house trainer for a franchise. Louise is married to Peter who is the Managing Director of his operational chimney sweeping business in Newbury and between them they run both businesses whilst also managing a portfolio of let property, a home and a cat. She doesn’t deem herself an expert in franchising but, having recently been through the process, has a wealth of current experience that she hopes will help others who are considering franchising to make the right choices.
