Attending a franchise exhibition can be the first step towards business ownership. For one entrepreneurial family, a visit to The International Franchise Show proved to be exactly that.

After attending the event in 2024 to explore potential franchise opportunities, they discovered Signarama, the global signage and visual communications brand. What began as research into franchising soon developed into something much bigger.

Today, they operate Signarama in the UK as the master franchisee, responsible not only for running the business but also for expanding the brand across the country by partnering with new franchise owners.

Their journey from visitor to franchisor highlights the real opportunities that can emerge from attending the show and meeting brands face to face.

Now returning to The International Franchise Show as exhibitors, they are looking to connect with aspiring entrepreneurs who want to build their own business while benefiting from the support of a proven international brand.

1. Tell us about your background.

Our journey into franchising started as a family decision. We had been exploring the idea of building a business together and were looking for an opportunity that would allow us to run something of our own while benefiting from the support of an established brand.

At the same time, I had recently finished my education and was considering my next steps. Rather than immediately following the traditional university route, I was particularly interested in entrepreneurship and the idea of building a business.

Franchising stood out because it offered the independence of running our own company alongside proven systems, training and support from an established global brand.

2. Why did you attend The International Franchise Show previously?

We attended the show in 2024 because we were actively exploring franchise opportunities. It’s one of the best places to meet multiple brands in one place, ask questions directly, and really understand what different franchise models look like.

For us, it was about doing proper research, speaking to franchisors, and finding a business that had both strong support and real long-term potential.


3. Why did you choose Signarama over other brands?

Signarama stood out for several reasons. Firstly, it operates in a sector that serves virtually every type of business. Every company needs signage, branding, and visual communication, whether it's shopfront signs, vehicle graphics, interior branding or exhibition displays.

Secondly, the brand has a strong global presence with decades of experience and a well-established franchise system. That gave us confidence that we would have the support, training and systems needed to succeed.

4. Who are you looking for?
