Alan started his career in banking, taking his first branch managers position in 1991, He then worked in recruitment for a time, before taking his first role in franchising in 1996. Alan obtained the Diploma in Franchise Management in 2000, and in 2011 became the first person in the UK to have both the Diploma and the Qualified Franchise Professional qualifications.

In 2006 Alan joined the Franchising Centre as a franchise consultant. In the last 20 years, Alan has worked with over 170 brands, both in the UK and internationally, guiding them on their franchising journey. Letterly Alan has concentrated on TFC Digital, and has built a software house which has partnerships with 12 software’s and systems, all ‘best in class’ and all aimed at multi-unit businesses and franchises.

Alan speaks regularly at industry webinars and seminars, and plays an active role in the franchise community in the UK
